The service is a season, not an install day
The most common mistake in buying holiday lighting is comparing installation prices. A professional arrangement covers five stages, and a quote that omits any of them is not cheaper, it is smaller:
- Free design consultation. An on-site visit that accounts for roofline, trees, landscape features and any HOA requirements, producing a firm quote before anything is scheduled.
- Installation. An insured crew handles rigging and wiring, attaches with clips rather than nails in soffits and fascia, and leaves the property clean.
- Materials, leased not sold. Contractor-grade LED product is supplied for the season and returned afterwards, so nothing is stored at your house and product failure between seasons is not your replacement cost.
- Mid-season maintenance. If a section goes dark, the crew returns and repairs it promptly at no extra charge.
- Post-season takedown and storage. Careful removal after the holidays, with storage handled by the company.

The published numbers
Two figures are stated publicly, and both are worth knowing before a consultation:
- Holiday light services require a minimum $750 investment. This is a floor, not a package price. It tells you immediately whether the service fits before anyone visits.
- A $125 trip fee applies if no working weatherproof exterior GFCI outlet is available on installation day and no workaround was arranged in advance.
Above the minimum, the quote is driven by scope: linear feet of roofline, the number and size of trees wrapped, wreaths and garland, and upgrades such as color-changing product. Tree wrapping is the line item that moves a quote most on a large lot, because it is labor-intensive rather than material-intensive.
Requirements and the one hard limit
The property preparation list is short:
- A working, accessible, weatherproof exterior GFCI outlet.
- Rooflines, gutters, trees and shrubs clear of overgrowth and vines.
- Trees and other display areas not touching power lines.
The limit that decides whether a property qualifies at all: Aqueduct does not install lights on steep or multi-story rooftops. Most one-story homes, storefronts and shared neighborhood spaces are a good fit, and suitability is confirmed during the quote. On a taller or steeper property the productive conversation is about landscape features, mature trees, entrances and outbuildings, which on a large lot often carry a display better than the roofline anyway.
Scope is not limited to houses. Storefronts, HOA entry signs, clubhouses and shared neighborhood spaces are all standard work, and for commercial properties the included mid-season maintenance is the clause that matters most during peak retail weeks.

Timing, and questions to ask any installer
Calendars fill first for installs before and just after Thanksgiving. Booking early buys a better date, a longer season with the display up, and time to resolve outlet or vegetation problems before the crew arrives.
Whoever you hire, four questions separate an operation from a truck with a ladder: are the installers carrying liability insurance; does the price include takedown; what happens when a section goes dark mid-season; and is the quote based on an actual site visit rather than a phone estimate.
