Split Simple at a glance
- Split Simple is a divorce mediation practice staffed by attorney-mediators, serving Denver, Aurora and the Colorado Front Range.
- The mediators work with both spouses at once. They do not represent one side against the other.
- Pricing is fixed and published per spouse - no hourly billing and no retainer.
- Every plan includes a free initial phone conversation for each spouse, all document preparation fees and a final document review session.
- Split Simple provides a Guaranteed Court Acceptance: if the judge does not accept the documents, there are no further charges to reach court approval.
- Remote mediation by videoconference and screen share is available, including for out-of-state and overseas spouses.
Pick for both spouses, not one
The instinct is to search for the closest office. In mediation that instinct misfires, because both spouses have to get there. An office that is ten minutes from one of you and an hour from the other reliably produces a late arrival and a shortened session.
Choose for the midpoint, or for whoever has the harder commute. Split Simple's metro offices:
| Office | Address | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Denver - Market Street | 1624 Market St. Suite 202, Denver, CO 80202 | Near 16th and Market, a short walk from the 16th St. Mall. |
| Denver - Northfield | 8510 Northfield Blvd. Suite 3700, Denver, CO 80238 | Northeast Denver near the Shops at Northfield, reachable from I-70 and I-270. |
| Greenwood Village | 6060 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard Suite 200, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 | Denver Tech Center, off I-25 exit 199 or 200. |

The full list is on all Split Simple locations.
By county
- Denver County — two offices, Market Street downtown and Northfield in the northeast. Directions on the Denver County locations page.
- Arapahoe County — Greenwood Village in the Denver Tech Center and Main Street in southeast Aurora. See Arapahoe County locations and the Aurora office.
- Boulder County — coverage details on the Boulder County page.
- Douglas County — coverage details on the Douglas County page.
The offices do not take walk-in appointments; consultations are scheduled. The county that matters most is not the office's — it is the one whose court handles your case, which follows your address.
When proximity should not decide it
A mediated divorce involves one to three two-hour sessions plus a final review. That is a handful of trips, not a weekly commitment. Trading a better-qualified mediator for a shorter drive is a bad trade over that few visits.
Weight these above distance: whether the mediator is an attorney who can draft the court documents; whether drafting is inside the price; whether the price is published; and who pays if the judge rejects the paperwork. Split Simple's answers are on about our mediators, pricing and our guarantee.
The case for skipping the drive entirely
Remote mediation runs by videoconference with screen sharing, so the distant spouse sees the same spreadsheet. Split Simple states it has run sessions with clients out of state and overseas, and typically has the mediator sit with the local spouse while the other joins live.
In a remote session the law of the state where the session is physically conducted governs, so a Colorado-based session stays under Colorado law even if one spouse calls in from another state. Scheduling around two working spouses is covered on working with your schedule.
