There are many species of fish and crabs to be seen, as well as rays and, if you're lucky enough, some resident bottlenose dolphins. Renting snorkel gear is possible at the Jetty Store. Or, you can purchase it along with your Shell Island Snorkel Tour Shuttle tickets.
