Why choose Sidemount Technical Diving Panama City Beach?Because we’re divers first, instructors second. Yes, we are instructors and mentors, but that comes second to our diving. We’ve seen too many instructors who get over involved in teaching and they end up never diving without students. That’s not us! We have made a pact with ourselves that we will never do more training dives in a month than our own dives. We have also promised ourselves to always do at least twice as much time in the water doing our own dives as we do training dives. This plan will ensure we never get burned out on providing the best quality dive instruction we can. We also develop long term mentoring relationships with our students. Several of our students have become our dive buddies and have gone on to help us with our exploration and survey projects in Florida and Mexico.
With over 200 dives per year, we were certified Open Water Scuba Instructors (PADI), over a decade before. Since then, we have been active instructors in Arizona, Florida, Mexico and New Jersey. Both of us were able to obtain our PADI Master Scuba Diving Diver Trainer rating in less time than a year. In addition, we also teach several specialty courses. On average, we do over 150 dives per year. The majority of our dives last for more than an hour.
We believe that scuba diving training should be more than just learning what to do in case something goes wrong. While that is a very important part of the training and we make sure when you complete your training you are competent to do that, we also make sure you do all this mid-water, not on the bottom on your knees! This goes for every course we teach, from Open Water through our Technical courses. We teach you how to scuba dive, not just how to survive under water. You won’t always be diving in an area where you can go to your knees when an issue arises. You need to be able to deal with any issues mid-water. And that’s how we teach you.
This idea seems to work. The boat was able to grow a diveshop to serve its patrons. The shop has since evolved to a full-service retail and training establishment. We can help you plan your next dive adventure or learn to dive the first time.
Our teaching philosophy is simple: We are instructors first and mentors second. We are not only instructors, but also dive. We're here to help you with your questions. Although we may not have all the answers, we can direct you to someone who does. We want to improve your diving experience and knowledge. Make sure you don't pay for an instructor rating just to get the rating. Check that the instructor is qualified to teach the diving skills he/she teaches.
Sidemount Technical Diving Panama City Beach: We are divers first and instructors last. We are also instructors and mentors. However, that is secondary to our diving. Too many instructors become too involved in teaching, and end up not diving with students. This is not what we do! We made a commitment to ourselves that we would never do more training diving in a month than what we did for our own dives. We have also committed to spending at least twice the time on our own diving than we do training. This will ensure we are always able to give the best possible dive instruction. Long-term mentoring relationships are also established with our students. Many of our students have become dive buddies and helped us with our surveys and explorations in Florida and Mexico.
All scuba certifications are available. We also offer check out dives. Elearn and onsite classes can be tailored to your individual needs.
