About 1.2 pounds. Although there are many hair dryers that weigh less than this one, Dyson claims that this hair dryer was "engineered to balance". I can feel it. The weight of the hair dryer is on top, so it doesn't weigh down my wrist and puts pressure on my wrist. It's also not heavy at the front.
My opinion is that the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is the best for gray hair. Dyson Airwrap is my only rival.
I was hooked. Dyson dryers dry hair much faster than others. The first time it was used, I used my phone's timer to record the time. The result? 1:40:11. It took me less that two minutes to dry the whole head. It takes longer to dry my hair than it does to make instant coffee. This alone was enough to make the Dyson worth my money. I am usually late, but I don’t worry if there is enough time to do my hair. I always have two minutes.
The diffuser attachment was then useless. Sometimes, the attachment's screw-in end becomes threadbare and doesn't attach anymore. I can remember how I duct taped an attachment to my old hairdryer. This did not work. These things won't happen with Dyson magnetic attachements. Attachments are for the whole family, it's attachments that last.
Created for different hair styles: A range of attachments have been developed through our hair laboratory research.
I was addicted to Dyson products. Dyson's hair dryers dry my hair faster than any other.
Magnetic attachments
Fast drying No extreme heat. Made for various hair types.
Protects shine and prevents heat damage. Intelligent heat control measures air temperature 40 times per second to protect against heat damage.
The Dyson Supersonic cable is 9 feet long, while professional hair dryers have a 11 foot cord. The professional hair dryer has a stronger filter and is about $50 more.
First, I was impressed by the Dyson's inclusion of everything. My previous hair dryer only came with the dryer. I had to order accessories (diffusers, concentrators, brushes, etc.) separately. These accessories were not included in the original hair dryer, so I had to order them separately.
Two editors with different hair textures and lengths came up with a unanimous verdict: The Dyson Supersonic Dryer is worth the effort.
Do you want to know if Dyson hair dryers are worth it for me? But that's another question.
Since 2018, I have owned the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. While I love it, it is not for everyone. Although it prevents heat damage from the hair, the price is prohibitive and may not be the best option for everyone.
I generally wash my hair once a week. Sometimes, my hair will dry naturally. Most of the time, however I will blow it out. My hair tends to be long, thick and wavy. Because of this, I can either dry my hair straight or let it air dry.
The Dyson hair dryer works like a regular hair dryer, while the Dyson Air Wrap can be used as a styling tool. It has multiple attachments such as barrels for curling or waving hair and brushes to smoothen and volumize.
In recent times, having a great hair dryer was a necessity instead of a wish.
Dyson says, "The Dyson Supersonic was engineered to protect hair against extreme heat damage. It has fast drying and controlled styling to increase smoothness by 75%, shine by up 132%, and reduce frizz and flyaways up to 61%." All of that is possible because I'm here.
But, it ended up working only on two (my hair and a friend's). While $400 seems high for a hairdryer and a good price, I found that the Dyson can do my 28-inch long curly hair in 5 minutes. This is also less damaging than traditional hair dryers.
However, I have not seen any knockoffs. A workaround is to let your hair air dry for most of the time and then use a hair dryer for the final few minutes. This will give your hair a smooth, shiny look without any heat exposure.
You might be aware that blow drying your hair requires you to turn it on and off several times.
High-speed heat control and precise speed: This dryer delivers fast drying, styling, regular drying and gentle drying with a constant cooling flow.
I save time every time I blow dry my hair, but the real value is the reduction in extreme heat damage over the course of time.
I quit at 18 and decided to learn a few things about hair care. Fast forward to today, and my hair care is down to a science. I know exactly which products to use, how they should be styled and how to sleep with them (I could write an entire book on how to sleep well with curly hair), and how best to keep it healthy. The result? The result is extremely long and healthy hair. The long drying process is the only thing that I couldn't live without. The Dyson dryer is an excellent hair dryer.
The Dyson hair dryer stands out from the rest because it drys my hair in half the time.
While the Dyson Hair Dryer works as a normal hair dryer, the Dyson Air Wrap is dryer and styling tool. The Dyson Air Wrap has barrels that can curl or wave hairs and brushes that can smoothen and volumize hair.
It has happened to me that the attachment fell off during a hair-dye, but it isn’t too bad to just put it back on.
I love magnetic attachments. In the past I have lost my hairdryer and broken the diffuser screw.
Five attachment tools come with the Dyson hairdryer. Each one is designed to be used for specific styling purposes. Ideally, you can style any hair type with the included attachments and this Dyson hair dryer.
Dyson claims that the hair dryer is designed for quick drying and styling at the voltage it was manufactured in. Voltage varies between countries so please refer to your user manual for instructions on how to use it.

The Dyson hair dryer acts like a standard hair dryer. The Dyson Air Wrap, however, is dryer AND styling tool.
Dyson doesn't lie about Supersonic causing hair to feel less damaged. Dyson's claims about hair being less damaged after using the Supersonic are not confirmed by me as a hairstylist. But I do know how my hair feels when it is fried (with a straightener) and after I dry it with the Dyson hair dryer (not.
The Styling Concentrator works nine out of 10 times. I do have long, curly hair and appreciate the diffuser because it helps shape my waves and keeps them from breaking.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer - Iron/Fuchsia
The bottom line: The Dyson Supersonic blew away the competition when it came to drying speed, strongest airflow, and consumer satisfaction in our
extensive testing. If you're in the market for a new hair dryer — and have some savings built up — it's proven to be the best hair dryer you can buy.
For this experiment I washed my hair, toweled it up for exactly six minutes while I lotioned up and got dressed and then blew my hair out.
With the Dyson hair dryer, drying my hair took seven minutes.
Unlike some others, the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer measures air temperature over 40 times a second, and regulates the heat.
This prevents extreme heat damage, to help protect your hair's shine.
Dyson says it's less damaging to your hair. The dryer allegedly prevents extreme heat damage by measuring the temperature 20 times a second to
ensure that it is consistently at a healthy temperature for your hair.
