Fast drying No extreme heat. Made for various hair types.
The Dyson hair dryer is a great choice. It takes half the time and leaves my hair feeling dry.
It's not necessary to heat your hands while holding the tool.
When I use the term fast, it means fast. My 28-inch-long curly hair is thick and thick. This is a lot hair. Diffusing my hair took me five minutes. It's a lifesaver when the weather is colder, and I don't have the time to let my hair dry naturally for half of the day. The entire process took me around 20 minutes, and I am no expert. It would've taken me about 20 minutes if I was any good at blowouts.
The Dyson Supersonic hairdryer comes with magnetic attachments so that you can quickly and easily adjust.
The Styling Concentrator is what I use nine times out of ten. The diffuser helps me define my hair and keep it from frizzing.
I think the best thing about this hair dryer was how volume it gave me. As I said, I have straight, fine hair. Why would I spend so much on a hair dryer? My hair is perfect for Dyson Supersonic. I have found that it creates huge volume. I use the round brush provided with the dryer (which I can use for curtain bangs), and one of their concentrator nozzles to style and add volume to my roots. Otherwise, my hair is left to dry naturally without any attachments. It always looks like it just came off the set of a movie.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer review : It is worth $400
The Dyson hair dryer works like a regular hair dryer, while the Dyson Air Wrap can be used as a styling tool. It has multiple attachments such as barrels for curling or waving hair and brushes to smoothen and volumize.
I've owned the dryer for 4+years and never cleaned the filter. Oops. Dyson recommends cleaning it every other month. Wipe the outer cage or inner filter with a soft and dry cloth.
A resounding yes, yes, yes. I couldn't have imagined that $400 worth of plastic would be so enticing to me.
Review of the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer
I've had this dryer for 4+ years and have never cleaned the filter. Oops. Dyson recommends cleaning it with a soft, dry cloth once a month.
According to me, Dyson Supersonic has the best dryer for gray hair. Dyson Airwrap comes in second, but it's the Dyson Supersonic that I love.
It is extremely sleek. You would expect something with this much tech to be heavy and clunky. But not the Dyson Supersonic. This hair dryer is much more lightweight than other models and is easier to move around your head. The motor in the middle of the device, which is smaller than other hair dryers, is brushless and quieter. You might need to reconsider your routine if you are used to thinking of your daily hair-dye as an arm workout. Dyson created the dryer to pay tribute to their best-selling fans. This is why the iconic hole in the middle makes it so famous.
I used the Dyson Supersonic to wash Amanda's curly 3B hair and my 2C hair. We used only the diffuser to style her hair. But I used all of my attachment settings for myself except the wide tooth comb because it isn't made for my hair. Sorry, I forgot to take photos after using both the concentrated styler attachments and the diffuser. I was able to achieve a great hairstyle with both the diffuser and concentrated styler attachments.
However, I ended using it only for two hair types: my own and one of my close friends. Although it is expensive at $400, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer can be used to dry my curly, 28-inch hair in five minute intervals and causes less damage than a traditional dryer.

It has a V9 motor, which is more powerful than my Dyson vacuum. The hair dryer spins at 110,000 rpm and can propel 13 liters of air to the amplifier every second. Intelligent heat control is also included to monitor airflow temperature and prevent heat damage.
Dyson says, "The Dyson Supersonic was engineered to protect hair against extreme heat damage. It has fast drying and controlled styling to increase smoothness by 75%, shine by up 132%, and reduce frizz and flyaways up to 61%." All of that is possible because I'm here.
Whatever the reason may be, I knew I was going to put Dyson's Supersonic Hair Dryer to the test.
Dyson doesn't lie about Supersonic causing hair to feel less damaged. Dyson's claims about hair being less damaged after using the Supersonic are not confirmed by me as a hairstylist. But I do know how my hair feels when it is fried (with a straightener) and after I dry it with the Dyson hair dryer (not.
The hair dryer's V9 motor is more powerful than my Dyson Vacuum. It spins at 110,000rpm, and 13 liters air are pushed up to the amplifier each second. Intelligent heat control has been integrated to the hair dryer to control airflow temperature, preventing heat damage.

But, it ended up working only on two (my hair and a friend's). While $400 seems high for a hairdryer and a good price, I found that the Dyson can do my 28-inch long curly hair in 5 minutes. This is also less damaging than traditional hair dryers.
Since 2018, I have owned the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. While I love it, it is not for everyone. Although it prevents heat damage from the hair, the price is prohibitive and may not be the best option for everyone.
It would be 35% more effective than other hairdryers if I had the time. I save time drying my hair but the most important thing for me is the lower heat damage.
Rapid drying No extreme heat. Different hair types can be accommodated.
It is very modern in design. A hair dryer with this much technology would be expected to be heavy and cumbersome. However, the Dyson Supersonic is not that. This is a lighter hair dryer than others, and it is much easier to maneuver around your heads. The motor at center of this device is smaller and less brushless than most hair dryers. It is therefore quieter and easier to hold. You may have to change your routine if your usual hairstyle is one of arm work. Dyson designed their dryer as a tribute to their bestselling fans. That's why it has the hole at its centre that makes it so iconic.
Although I originally purchased the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer to test it on three types of hair, I ended up using it only on my own hair and that of a close friend. While $400 may seem like a high price for a hairdryer, the Dyson was able to diffuse my 28 inch long curly hair in five minutes. It also caused less damage than traditional dryers.
The Dyson hairdryer has four temperature settings. The hottest setting is at 212degF, while the coolest setting goes to 82degF.
My medium-length bob just touches my shoulders. And I have curtain bangs which are in desperate need for a trim. My curtain bangs have been with me for two years. However, curtain bangs take a lot of styling so I have to ensure they remain in place every day.
A resounding yes, yes, yes. Although I didn't think a $400 chunk of plastic would hold such a stronghold on me, I don’t care. Since getting my Dyson hair dryer, my old dryers were given to my mom and other friends. My hair looks great, and I am grateful for the Dyson.

The hair dryer can cause hair to get dry and rough, which can result in hair losing its color (1). The heat can make gray hair brassy or yellowish (2). Maybe it's because my hair dryers kept putting out crap.
The bottom line: The Dyson Supersonic blew away the competition when it came to drying speed, strongest airflow, and consumer satisfaction in our
extensive testing. If you're in the market for a new hair dryer — and have some savings built up — it's proven to be the best hair dryer you can buy.
For this experiment I washed my hair, toweled it up for exactly six minutes while I lotioned up and got dressed and then blew my hair out.
With the Dyson hair dryer, drying my hair took seven minutes.
Unlike some others, the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer measures air temperature over 40 times a second, and regulates the heat.
This prevents extreme heat damage, to help protect your hair's shine.
Dyson says it's less damaging to your hair. The dryer allegedly prevents extreme heat damage by measuring the temperature 20 times a second to
ensure that it is consistently at a healthy temperature for your hair.
