Automated marking is more efficient and saves you time in your workshop. The V808 can automatically mark the four sides of the profile. Although marking only three sides of the profile is feasible, workers still have to take measurements on the fourth. Voortman can handle all four sides. This will help you save time in your workshop and reduce costs.

FUTURE EXPANSION The Voortman Vo808 provides a solid foundation for future growth. Voortman machines all use the same standard VACAM software. All machines speak the same 'language. When you need more capacity to grow your business, the Voortman V808 can be combined with other Voortman machinery in a fully-automated and integrated production system also known as Multi System Integration.

The V808 roller feed measurement and clamping system locks profiles in exact position and maintains alignment throughout processing. This fully automatic measuring roller feed system is the fastest positioning system as it does not require a pusher or gripper to return home before loading the next piece saving hours each week. Voortman’s roller feed system can operate with full automation within a standard range of profile processing when using Voortman’s automated in-feed cross transports, with enough stability and support to properly position and process beams up to 15.000 kg (33,000 lbs).

The top of the line coping/profiler makes 3D coping a breeze. These Robotic Coping & Profiling beams are reliable, as well as being able to cut saddles, chamlers or slots.

The PCR41 is an innovative design that combines robotics, vision systems and plasma torch technology to bring you the best combination of value, speed, precision, and 4-face operation to cutting structural steel that a robotic plasma cutter can offer.

Hardened hydraulic jaws with piston helps to fix material to prevent faults. AFD Flange and Plate Drilling Machine is able to drill, tab, mill, mark with scribing and mark with dot.(optional).

The automation of marking reduces time and costs in your workshop. With its ability to reach all sides of any material, the V808 marks all four sides of a profile automatically. Even though the V808 can mark only three sides, the assembly workers will still need manual measurements to the fourth side. Voortman’s V808 can accommodate all four sides. This will make it easier to save time and money when assembling your workshop.

Our top-of-the-range coping/profiler robot makes 3D coping and profiling much easier. These Robotic Coping beams and Profiling beams not only work well, but they can also be used to cut slots, chamlers, and saddles.

Voortman’s Xtensive Hole Performance optimizes inner contours and holes with high-definition Plasma cutting. It produces laser-like results. Voortman optimized Hypertherm(r), True Hole (tm) for V808 movements to achieve this standard. Xtensive Hole performance is used on small to medium slot holes and square inner contours.

The V808 roller-feed measurement and clamping system locks profiles and keeps them in the same exact place throughout processing. The fully automated measuring roller feed system saves time and money by not requiring a pusher or gripper before returning home to load the next piece. Voortman’s roller feed system is fully automated within a standard range for profile processing. Voortman’s automated in-feed crossing transports provide enough stability and support so that beams of up to 15.000kg (33,000 lbs) can be properly positioned and processed.

Rat holes, seismic structural design connections (jay-allan and dog bone connections), copes at the lead or trail end of a product, block outs, holes in any size and shape, weld preparations, marking on all four sides, and more! Since the Voortman V808 can process all four sides of the material with only one robot it is the most versatile machine on the market. All cuts and profiles as seen in the video can be done without manual programming in the software.

MSI is also called Multi System Integration. It allows you to automate all aspects of your production process by connecting cross transports to roller conveyors, product buffers to material sensors, and roller conveyors to each other. MSI automatically distributes all data to the integrated machines within your production system.

Frequently Asked Questions

I-Beam. . . . This is the ultimate beam profile. It is extremely strong in the vertical direction and has an equal response to all other forces. It is the strongest profile in strength to weight (vertical), making it an excellent DIY beam profile for Cranes and main beams for long and large trailers.

Both coping saws as well as jigsaws can cut curves or irregular shapes. Due to its shorter blade and faster speed, a jigsaw works better for cutting very irregular shapes or tight curves. For curved or circular curves, coping saws work better.

To ensure beams and columns are in harmony (interference free), it is necessary to notch or copoe beams. Sometimes, it is necessary to remove material from a web or flange in order to allow the intersecting steel pieces fit.

To increase your beam's bending capability, you will need to increase the second moment (I) if your beam design is controlled by yielding in bend (not lateral-torsional or plate buckling). This is usually done by attaching additional plates to your beam, often onto the flanges.

To remove more wood from the back, angle the coping saw 30 degrees. Pro tip: Trimmings that have been cut with coping cuts can often leave thin, pointed tips. To prevent them from splintering, support the tips with your finger while you file, cut, or sand. Pro tip: Keep your eyes on the outside of the line.
