Vehicle Inspection Application
Next to Pre-/Post Trip inspections is the checking of fluids and filters. All passengers should be familiar with the importance of oil changes and filter renewals. These items are even more important for commercial vehicles. Clogged filters can cause a reduction in fuel mileage for commercial vehicles. This inspection looks at high wear areas and items that need replacing more often. To find out how often each type is recommended, check with the manufacturer of your equipment or owner's manual.
You should also conduct frequent inspections that look deeper, inspecting items such as: Check your engine oil and change your filter, Oil pressure, Transmission fluid, Check the fuel filter and system, Cooling system, Mounts for engine and transmission, Drive shafts, or CV joints, Belts and Hoses, Tune-ups, Electrical, System components, Brake system, Steering and suspension, Tires, Wheels and Rims, Exhaust system, Frame and undercarriage, Exterior and Interior lights, Mirrors, glass and body, Windshield wipers, Horn, Seat structure and seat belts, Fluid leaks, Auxiliary Systems. You will be unable to keep up with the issues and you could end up having to pay a lot more.
