In the 1655 years the custom was to offer sailors the opportunity to drink a small portion of the rum. This provided them with a bit of peace, confidence, and helped them cope with the challenges of living on a ship. The person who distributed the ration was referred to for being the "pusser," hence the name of the authentic navy Rum. Distilled in wooden stills , and aged in bourbon barrels that have been charred The final product has numerous distinct flavours. The aroma is warm and sweet, with hints of molasses caramel, sugar dried fruit, as well as an assortment of spices. The palate is rich and well-rounded with notes like vanilla, leather, tobacco and spices. The end is long, warm and silky.
