5 reasons Cork Tastes Amazing

Food trucks are becoming increasingly popular in Ireland. They're popping up in cities like Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and even Belfast. But just because they're mobile doesn't mean they're easy to find. Some food trucks will sell out; others won't accept reservations. So make sure you know where you want to go ahead of time. And remember to take photos of your food while you're eating it. What sort of food is served at Restaurant Nosta? Nosta serves Mediterranean cuisine, including dishes such as pasta, pizza, salads, soups, and desserts. The restaurant has an extensive wine list, which includes both domestic and imported wines.

It's got stand-out restaurants

We had been looking forward to our trip to London for ages, and we knew it was going to be fantastic. We booked a table at one of my favourite restaurants, The Nosta Restaurant, where I'd eaten many times before. The restaurant itself is beautiful, set within a Grade II listed building in Mayfair. It's got a warm, cosy feel to it, with lots of dark wood furniture, leather chairs and tables. There are paintings on the walls depicting scenes from the British countryside, and there are even some antique clocks dotted around the place. Our waiter was very attentive, and he recommended dishes based on what we had already ordered. He told us about the specials of the day, and gave us recommendations based on what we had chosen. He brought us drinks and snacks throughout the course of our meal, too. We started off with some bread and butter pudding. This came with a delicious homemade sauce, and was served with a side of garlic mushrooms. Everything was absolutely delicious - the bread was soft and fluffy, the sauce was sweet and tangy, and the mushrooms were just the perfect accompaniment. For our main courses, we chose the roast chicken with wild mushroom risotto and the slow cooked beef cheeks with parsnip puree and creamed potato. Both were excellent, although I found the beef cheeks slightly lacking in flavour. They were perfectly tender though, and the meat fell away easily from the bone. I loved the combination of flavours in both dishes. The wild mushrooms added a lovely earthiness to the risotto, while the parsnips helped balance out the richness of the dish. My husband thought the beef cheeks were great, however, saying that they were "an absolute triumph". I couldn't resist having dessert, so I went for the sticky toffee pudding. This was served with vanilla ice cream, and melted into my mouth like no other dessert I've ever tasted. It was incredibly rich, creamy and sticky. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at The Cinnamon Club. Our meals were beautifully presented, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If you're thinking about eating here, do yourself a favour and book a table early. You won't regret it.

However, we wanted to know what types of food people like to eat, where do they go for lunch, dinner and drinks, and how important is it for businesses to cater for large groups. We asked our readers to tell us about their favourite places to dine out in Cork city. Here’s what they had to say: Are there vegetarian and gluten-free options on your menu?
