The food was delicious. Authentically Italian cuisine. The wine was very good. And the price was quite expensive. But it was worth every penny. We visited Da Mirco Osteria in West Hollywood on Friday night. We had heard about the restaurant from our friends, and we wanted to check out what all the fuss was about. When we arrived, we found ourselves seated immediately. Our waiter came over and took us through the menu. He recommended some appetizers, like the tortellini stuffed with goat cheese, prosciutto and arugula ($12). I opted for the pasta carbonara ($16), while my husband chose the chicken piccata ($20). I tried both dishes. They were great. My favorite dish was the pasta carbonara. It was creamy, rich and just plain yummy. The chicken piccata was also pretty tasty. It was served with a side salad and garlic bread. My husband enjoyed his meal too. He loved the chicken piccata. He said he could eat it again and again. After dinner, we walked around the neighborhood. We stopped into several shops along Sunset Boulevard. When we got hungry, we headed back to Da Mirco Osterria. Our bill came to $74. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.
