This place is always busy, especially during weekends. You could try to find a table outside, but it might take some time. The restaurant offers a set menu which includes starter, main course and dessert. They also have a special children’s menu. Their dessert menu is amazing. We recommend trying the warm chocolate fudge, warm apple pie or the ice cream sundae.

Quinlan’s Bar & Restaurant opened in May 2016. Located in Ballycotton, Co Cork, it’s run by brothers Michael and Patrick Quinlan. Their father, John Quinlan, founded the family business in 1984 and now runs the original Quinlan’s Bar in Glengarriff. The brothers are known for their attention to detail and high standards, so you know what you’re getting when you eat there. The menu changes seasonally, but the focus is always on quality ingredients. There are plenty of classic dishes like steak and kidney pie, but they also do things differently. For example, they serve fresh seafood straight out the boat. And they don’t skimp on the sides either. You might start with a bowl of mussels and chips, followed by a plate of steamed mussels served with garlic butter sauce. Or maybe you’ll opt for a dish called “the whole thing” – a mix of calamari, prawns, crab legs and lobster meat.
